"With the introduction of legendary raids, niantic needs to fix the curveball bug"

#PokemonGO: First, before anybody says it, there is not a trick to throwing curveballs. There is plenty of video evidence of all the common tips not working consistently. Even if there wasn't, from a game design standpoint, having an invisible mechanic with no possible way of knowing whether you're getting the bonus or not is poor game design, so even if there was a trick it probably shouldn't be in the game. With that out of the way, the curveball bug has been a thorn in everybody's side since day 1. There's simply no way of knowing if what you're doing is working. Despite it being a known bug since the game's launch, Niantic has said nothing on the matter. Until now, it's just been a mild irritant. But with legendary Pokémon not only being insanely hard to catch, but also only around for a limited time, being able to catch one is really important to a lot of players. They're the some of the rarest and most powerful Pokémon in the game, and every bonus you can get helps.Losing out on the 1.7 catch bonus a curveball grants is a huge bonus and leaves catching legendaries largely up to luck. With such large stakes, you'd think Niantic would finally fix the curveball bug so we'd have a slightly better chance at catching them if we're skilled enough. Throwing curveballs is one of two things in this game that actually require skill, and since it's so random, even that' iffy. It's time for Niantic to fix the bug and reward players who are skilled at throwing curveballs by not cheating them out of the bonus. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2tKJCeD
