"PSA: Today is the last day for "Reserved Names""

#PokemonGO: Just a reminder that today (September 29th) is the last day that Niantic is holding your "Ingress" name for Pokémon Go.For those who chose a different name when the PGO launched (because your preferred username was "taken") you can rename your PGO avatar today, if you are logging in to GO via Google Accounts, and using the same account.On the other hand, as is the case for me, if you created your PGO account using your Nintendo account, you will be able to rename your avatar as of tomorrow (Sept. 30th) once they release the "Hold" on your username from Ingress.Edit: Checking again on the original email from Niantic (Sent August 26th) it says you have to grab the name by the 26th of September ... I'm not sure where I got the 29th in my head; perhaps it was from a thread I was reading when this was originally going around, that the reserved names would be released after the 29th, but as of today my "reserved name" from Ingress is still coming up as "Already taken" -- YMMVTL;DR: For former Ingress players, today (Sept 29) is the last day they will be "reserving" your Ingress username for PGO. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2cEyqCF
