"Rise of the Phantom Trainers"

#PokemonGO: Well this is an issue I was investigating since game release, I claimed gyms that were brought down in an instant by a phantom trainer, a phantom trainer is someone who is obviously spoofing his/her location in order to fight at gyms remotely, I went to many remote gyms to see if I was mistaken, but even in far away places and with no people or cars at sight, I found the gyms haunted by phantom trainers. I usually dont care about spoofers if they claim a couple of gyms or if they drop 2 or 3 mons, but the problem is that they are abusing and camping the gyms in a regular basis, so in my city at the moment you find only stagnated gyms, and camped gyms that are impossible to hold for more than 1 minute, there is no middle ground, just stagnation in half of the gyms and hardcore turnover rates in the the other half.I think that phantom trainers are responsible for the stagnation and turnover problem at least in my city, why? because they camp stagnated gyms preventing other teams to bring em down, having the opportunity to respond immediatly to an aggressor, and well of course they camp low level gyms preventing anyone to level it up. if the players were forced to actually go to a place in order to claim or level up a gym, there would be less stagnated gyms, and less gyms with hardcore turnover rates.Of course It doesnt look fair to me to sit alone in a park and fight a gym with 3 or 4 phantom trainers who are comfortably sitting in their couches, pokemon go its supposed to be a social thing right?.When niantic starts to give us public events like the mewtwo thing on the trailer, im pretty sure they will spoof to the events all across the country or province, and that will not be a fair thing. The sad thing is that im sure that if niantic ban all the phantom trainers, my city will lose 35% of its total playerbase at least.question for the community, how do the phantom trainers do this and how do they avoid getting caught by niantic.thanks and sorry if my english seems quite sloppy, im not a native english speaker. end of the rant via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2egxYRM
