This thread has been updated for the October 4th reveals.First, let's start out by saying that this list DOES NOT CONFIRM the existence nor the potential to obtain any of these Pokemon in Sun and Moon. This is almost purely speculative given the Pokemon we've seen in the trailers and gameplay footage.Second, I only listed Pokemon that have been seen in battle or in the Pokemon overworld. I did not use Pokemon who have only appeared as material objects (eg. the Horsea statue in front of the hotel) or Pokemon who have appeared as part of the Pokeride feature (eg. Time for some Alolan Form speculationSo far, we know a few things about Alolan Pokemon.Alolan Forms have so far been all from Generation 1.Alolan Forms can consist of entire evolution lines OR the just later stages of a evolution line.Alolan Forms, with the sole exception of Meowth, have not been sighted in any of the trailers in their original Kanto forms.None of the Alolan Forms revealed so far have Mega Evolutions in their original Kanto forms.With all these points under consideration, I think we can make a list of Pokemon who are good candidates for receiving Alolan Forms. On this list I make note of all the Pokemon who have later stages in their line from later generations. It is more unlikely that they will receive Alolan forms because that would necessitate their evolutions also receive new forms. I have likewise ignored noting Pokemon like Clefairy who have pre-evolutions from later gens, since we've already established that earlier members of an evolutionary line can evolve into Alolan forms without being Alolan themselves. Also, Golduck is listed because while we have seen a Kanto Psyduck, that doesn't rule out an Alolan evolution.Also, as was mentioned by /u/Estew02 in the previous thread, there are numerous Gen 1 lines listed on the Pokemon website for Sun and Moon, pretty much confirming their inclusion in the game. This rules out a possible Alolan Golduck. Others listed include the Dragonite line, the Zubat line, the Gyarados line, the Spearow line, Pinsir, Lapras, Arcanine line, Psyduck line, and Munchlax line. I kept Clefable in light of "rule" #2. I also removed the Onix line because I had forgotten that it has received a Mega. That along with the fact it receives an evolution in a later gen is enough to make it seem highly unlikely. RIP Crystal Onix. (;_;)Hope this helps.
