"1000KM Buddy Walking Error?"

#PokemonGO: A friend of mine who rides his bike while playing POGO has reached 993KM on his Dragonair buddy. I haven't seen any posts on Reddit regarding someone else walking their buddy this far, so I'm not sure whether anyone else can confirm this error.http://ift.tt/2fwNUQ7 soon as the buddy hit 993KM, it stopped gaining KMs. The picture shows that even though he continued walking his buddy between 2am and 4am, the buddy actually LOST distance. He still received candy during this time, but the buddy text won't budge (we've tried logging in/out, restarting the phone, etc.)This morning, however, he stopped receiving buddy candies all together. Even though eggs are still hatching, the buddy isn't gaining distance and he's no longer gaining candies.Has anyone else experienced a similar glitch where their buddy can't gain KMs?
