"The update: the new numbers"

#PokemonGO: Let's collect the numbers for the new update (roll out started on 2016-11-02 UTC). here. I'll update the post as data comes available. Numbers in bold face are confirmed.Rival gym prestige loss: 1000 per defender, 1000 extra for the gym leader (was 500/1500). [1] Note: a 52k+ gym will likely count as if it is 51k. [u/Sully800, u/TBNecksnapper, u/BigMacAndADietCoke].XP gain for gym attacking: 10% of prestige loss. [u/oneslowdance]Friendly gym prestige gain: with R=CP_defender/CP_attacker: 250R for R>1 (capped at 500), 125R for R<1 (lower cap 50). (half the old values) [u/vibrunazo, u/Zyxwgh]. For CP_attacker, the highest CP of your team of six is counted.First catch of the day bonus: +500 XP in addition to the regular catch XP (This will be listed in the popup after catching) [1] and +500 stardust [u/tomshanski8716] or +600 startdust [Niantic]. It counts calendar days in local time [Niantic], but u/gorillajoe33 sees 24 hours.7 times first catch of the day bonus: +2000 XP/+2400 stardust. Whether this is in addition to "catch of the day" or instead of remains to be seen. [Niantic]First pokestop of the day bonus: +500 XP on top of 50 XP and +3-4 items. [u/ahvdk, u/Snaitf, u/Zyxwgh, u/foxtrot709]7 times first pokestop of the day bonus: +2000 XP, even more items. [Niantic] Whether this is in addition to "catch of the day" or instead of remains to be seen.Pokestop speed limit: approx 60 km/h (37 mph) [2] or approx 30 km/h [u/Zyxwgh] or "below 46 km/h" [u/Kaniva13]. Speed measurement likely instantaneous or average over 10-second intervals. For the sake of completeness, here are numbers/limits that are likely unchanged:Speed limit for hatching and buddy candy (TBC) 10.5 km/h. Speed measurement likely based on location samples every 60 seconds. [4]Speed limit for spawns: approx 30 km/h [u/Zyxwgh].Speed limit for catching approx 65 km/h (TBC); otherwise escape-flee after the first ball. [3][1] My own experience on 2016-11-07, time zone UTC+01). I'm still running the older app version (0.43.4 for Android).[2] My experience: cycling straight road at 25 km/h and spinning from a train during acceleration and slowing down (data points at 75 during acceleration and 63, 57, 40, 37 km/h during slow-down). (Lower limit based on cycling along a straight road at constant speed and upper limit based on sitting in the train). If you're too fast, the message is: "Try again later".[3] Last week I accidentally popped an incense in the train.[4] This was posted a while back, using GPS spoofing. Today, I tried cycling a straight road at 9.5 km/h and 13 km/h, as far as traffic allowed. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2eeyS0d
