"Apple Watch: Treadmill Test with Results"

#PokemonGO: Good Morning Travelers,After watching Nick from Trainer Tips and his review of the Apple Watch I wanted to further test the theory of using the Apple Watch to track your distance while on a piece of cardio equipment. In this test we will be documenting the progress of jogging on a treadmill.Treadmill Speed:5.5 Time: 10 minutesWhile running this test the app was closed on My iPhone and I was only tracking a session on my Apple Watch. The link below corresponds with the results as the top picture after the test was run.Pictures of Test ResultsTallied Results:Treadmill Distance tracked: .90 miles=1.45kmSteps Counted: 1368 steps=.52kmApple Watch Session Totals: 1.70kmSo from what we see within the results is that the distance that was tracked on the "session totals" page on the Apple Watch of 1.70km did not directly result of the same increase in the distance on my eggs. The amount we ended up receiving was between .6km and .7km which was almost in line to the amount of steps that we actually jogged on the treadmill.Overall the distance that translates to buddy candy and egg distance seems almost directly in line with the amount of steps that Apple Watch records you having stepped. Also this test further proves the Apple Watch can be purely used without the Apple IPhone application open to track your distance while moving on a piece of cardio equipment. Thanks for reading through! If anyone has questions let me know, I'll be running a similar test on the elliptical at a later date to test the wrist motion and how it correlates to distance. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2hTiOlj
