"Today I learned that the extinction of Lapras has been averted!"

Almost every Dex Entry since the beginning of the series has spoken about the near extinction of Lapras as a highlight...1996 [RBG]A Pokémon that has been overhunted almost to extinction.1999 [Gold, HG, and X]They have gentle hearts. Because they rarely fight, many have been caught. Their number has dwindled.2002 [RSE & ORAS]People have driven Lapras almost to the point of extinction. In the evenings, this Pokémon is said to sing plaintively as it seeks what few others of its kind still remain.But today, after a Lapras showed up in my Poke-Pelago to join my team, I discovered its newest entry :D Something about this warmed my heart...With all of the weird and dark Dex entries in this Generation, I was kinda happy to see that this sad story turned around.2016 [Moon]These Pokémon were once near extinction due to poaching.
