"Heads Up: Espeon/Umbreon evolutions work on candies received, not only distance walked."

#PokemonGO: Thanks to /u/testink123 who pointed out that the old pikachu buddy trick worked based on candies received, not total distance walked. It seems the new eevee-lutions work the same way.If you swap out your buddy eevee before you receive a candy, that distance won't count towards the new evolution even though it's counted in the buddies 'total distance walked'. It seems you have to receive the candy in order to 'bank' the distance towards espeon/umbreon.Tested this yesterday/today - walked an eevee 10k, but swapped it out twice so I received no candy. When I evolved it this morning (day on the map) it became a flareon. Following that, I evolved a second eevee that I had previously walked 10k (and received the candies) and got an espeon. So at a minimum the requirement is 2 buddy candies received to evolve espeon and umbreon. Could be 2 candies AND 10k walked, but we'll need to wait for an event to test that I think.Evolved both while they were set as my buddy, and from the buddy screen.EDIT: it has been pointed out that evolving from the buddy screen is not required.Anyone else seen similar results? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2lexwob
