"Does anyone else think lures are terrible? Have they gotten worse over time?"

#PokemonGO: I remember when I first started playing and everyone in town was luring all the time you'd sit between 2 or 3 at once and catch all manner of pokemon. Walking around the streets would get you nothing but Pidgey, Rattatta, Weedle and Spearow but in lures I saw my first Pincer, Exeggcute, Rhydon, Mankey, Diglett and a load of others that to this day I've never just encountered in the street.However I stopped using lures when I stopped seeing anything interesting coming out of them a number of months ago and recently with the valentines event making them longer and the gen 2 release I see people luring in town for the first time since the month it was released but they're all crap.Last night I sat between 2 lures that someone had put on in a pub and in that half an hour I caught nothing but Rattattas, Swinubs and Pidgeys. They put another 2 down when they ran out and again, nothing but Swinbus, maybe a murkrow and lots of Rattattas. I find it's a similar experience everytime I see someone in town luring and I go and try it out for 20 minutes or however long is left. In the last 3 - 4 hours of sitting in lures I've yet to see anything that I wouldn't see walking down the street. Swinubs, sentrets, rats, pidgeys and weedles.Have they changed to be a lot less effective? With the spawn rate being how it is I can walk up and down the high street for 10 minutes and catch the same pokemon i'd expect from a lure only a greater quantity. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2liBHRA
