"Guy behind the Snorlax event in Japan pays $2600 for renting a helicopter to catch a Lapras."

#PokemonGO: When the Lapras event was announced there was rumors spreading that the famous Japanese plastic surgeon, Dr. Katsuya Takatsu, had offered Niantic a large sum of money to host a Snorlax in Kumamoto in an effort to re-establish tourism in the area after the big Earthquake last year. Whether or not Niantic took this offer, I'm not aware of right now, but at least the event have become a reality. So as most of you are aware by now, from the 4th to 13th of March, there will be a Snorlax event in the Kumamoto region of Japan: https://twitter.com/PokemonGOAppJP/status/837210891166842881Yesterday I watched a Japanese TV show, where they featured Dr. Katsuya Takatsu. He was hunting down a lapras, taking a taxi to rent a helicopter, for which he paid approx $2600, to reach it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTyRbWcTJi4&t=2890 (48:10 into the show)I think he takes the record for the highest amount paid to get a single Pokemon.Btw, the Lapras escaped first ball and fled. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2mghOcW
