"No more Ditto from Magicarp?"

#PokemonGO: After the first day of the event, when i catched over 100 magicarp (no shiny) and at least 5 of them turned into Ditto, i didn't meet a single one and i'm at over 500 magicarp now (after event). So i suppose niantic stopped them after the first day reports that a shiny magicarp can turn to be a ditto. Asked my local group and noone met a magicarp-ditto too.
