"[Discussion] Can we give a shout out to David Hollin?"

#PokemonGO: As a subscriber to various sub reddits, I can appreciate the frustration you (David) must feel when posts or comments seem toxic. Art is difficult to express and it takes a great amount of courage, persistence and trust to put yourself out there. Sometimes having thick skin is helpful but trying to gauge user reaction requires a degree of vulnerability and it hurts seeing how much some people Karp all over your work just because it doesn't meet their exact specifications. Whether other users agree with me or not, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to yourself and your colleagues for the thought, time and effort you have all put in to making this game what it is today. A part of me hopes you will read this and feel uplifted and inspired to keep doing a fantastic job of changing the lives of people all over the world. Part of me also hopes that users of TSR will take a moment to express - in whatever means - their gratitude and encourage you and your team to continue gauging feedback through a growing community of avid Pokémon fans.On a personal note, 9 months ago I was ready to end my life. This game presented me with the strength to keep moving forward and break down the barriers I faced with social anxiety and depression. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to meet my Pokémon GO companion and soulmate, Lynne. Keep up the amazing work! via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2peutLF
