"If the Sun and Moon characters were Social Links"

Persona related post in Pokémon? You'll never see it coming!Anyway thought it would be fun to match Sun and Moon's cast to arcanas. For those unfamiliar, there are 23 different cards in Tarot reading called the major arcanas that each represents something (I'll put a brief summary of what each arcana represents). In Persona, there are characters who represent each of the 23 arcanas that you get to interact with.Fool:Beginning and Possibility-The Main Character. Main characters in P3-5 are always Fool since they're effectively blank slates with no personalities but are still the hero because of their "potential"Magician: Willpower and Accomplishments- Hau. Magician characters are eccentric and are usually your best friends.High Priestess: Intelligence, mystery, and spiritualism- Lana. Most Priestess characters are quiet and reserved much like Lana. She's also a teller of tall tales which represents the spiritual and supernatural aspect of the ArcanaEmperor: Masculine power and fatherhood- Kukui. Let's be honest, you all thought of Kukui when I mentioned what the emperor represents.Empress: Feminine power and motherhood- Plumeria. She's described as the big sister of Team Skull and have authority over the grunt, yet cares about them like a mother would.Heirophant: Wisdom, Authority, association with the past- Hala. He's a respected kahuna who serves as a mentor for the early game. Heirophant characters are also typically older figuresLover: Love, Choices, and Relationship- Olivia. To avoid any waifu wars, I'm just going to put Olivia with the flimsy argument that she's not married, and that she forms relationships with trial goers according to that one sceneChariot: Self confidence, goals, and victory- Kiawe. He seems like a self driven kind of guy according to his event.... that's allStrength: Compassion and Courage- Lillie. Her character arc centers around her finding the courage to be independent yet still being kind. Also the photo with Lillie and Solgaleo resembles the Strength arcana's depiction, being a female figure taming a lion.Justice: Equality and Order- Wicke. She's practically the only sane person in Aether and assists in the conservation of wild Pokémon. Seems like a nice person.Wheel of Fortune: Controlling fates and destiny- Mallow. Her event in Moon discusses her plans after resigning as a captain which obviously is her choosing path in life.Hermit: Isolation and Knowledge- Sophacles. He's practically a shut in who spends his time fidgeting with electronics. Even his trial is in his roomHanged Man: Stasis in life, getting caught in a situation, and moving on- Nanu. He's a police officer and a kahuna, 2 respected positions, yet doesnt give a crap about anything. His story arc in the Looker plot shows that he can move on after an extreme situation.Death: Death, Change, Ending- The Eevee users. The side quest for the Eevium is pretty depressing, with each Eevee user discussing topics about getting old and even one dying.Temperance: Balance, Mixing of 2 things- Sina and Dexio. The reason why they're in Alola is to research Zygarde, the Pokémon of order and balance. Also they're tourists which represents the mixing of 2 thing aspect.Devil: TL'DR: It pretty much represents the quality of a bad human being- Lusamine. She's a bad mother who let lust get the better of her and uses Clefable in battleTower: Disaster, Arrogance, Falling from grace- Guzma. Ya Boy is the big boss of Team Skull and is distuction in human form. However his arrogance preventing him from achieving much in life.Star: Inspiration, Hope, and Renewal- Hapu. After her grandfather's death, she takes his place as the kahuna, which can be interpreted as renewing the hope and culture of the island challenge. Also Tapu Fini's ruin is the Ruin of HopeMoon: Mystery, Confusion, Inner secrets, and insecurities- Gladion. You really don't know much about Gladion during the 1st few encounter until stuff happens where he's revealed to be rather insecureSun: Positivity and that sort or stuff- Acerola. This is where Hau would go if he wasn't already Magician, so I guess I'll put Acerola since she's the next most positive character in the game.Judgement: Judgement, Inner Calling, and True Self, whatever that means- Red and Blue. I just put them here since Judgement is usually a late game Arcana associated with powerful beings.World: Completion- The protagonist once you 100% the game. This is some deep philosophical stuff, I know. The following arcanas aren't in a traditional tarot deck but they appear as arcanas in Personas.Aeon: It's practically the Judgement Arcana- Nebby. Characters associated with the Aeon Arcana are plot important characters who only reveal their importance at the end of the game, much like Nebby.Hunger/Jester: Ignorance and Incompatibility. Reversed interpretation of the Fool- Faba. He's antagonistic towards the protagonist and goes along with Lusamine's plan to preserve his status, even if he doesn't know if the plan can lead to a catastrophy via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2pkPRCP
