If you want to wait for next event + lucky egg you should wait obviously.Second thing you should consider is: if you got evolves for HALVE or more of an lucky egg spree ready, thats as much bonus xp from the lucky egg as it would give with no event on, and also the total xp is at least as good as a normal xp lucky egg use (since you got 15 min in which you can catch/spin after your evolving is done).
