"Alternative to Alt-Account Gym Shaving"

#PokemonGO: I've seen a lot of complaints about gym shaving and I agree with the sentiment that it's bad. I also think that there's a greater problem that lead to the rise of gym shaving in the first place. That problem is stagnant level 10 gyms. Keep reading...This is not a proposed solution for gym stagnation. This is a "if they don't have a fix for gym stagnation" thread. If your team has successfully built a gym to level 10 before you arrive, you can literally do nothing at that gym. I think that this is the crux of the issue.I've seen proposed solutions for this such as having those gyms give out items or some other prize, but what gym players are actually looking for is those precious coins. What I think we need is some sort of legitimate system for a player to add his/her pokemon to a gym that is already level 10. I see two possibilities for this:1) You add your pokemon, but it does not participate in defending the gym. In this scenario we would need limitations that I propose as follows:The pokemon you add must be a higher CP than the lowest CP defender. (This prevents people from leeching with their 10 CP pokemon)There is no limit on the number of people from the same team that can leave pokemon at a gym (Still only 10 defenders)Here's the big one that brings balance: Every pokemon over 10 that's added to a gym will weaken the gym slightly. One way of doing this could be to reduce the CP of all defenders by 20 CP per additional pokemon. This is bad news for dominant teams (which I am in my area) but will also provide balance so that you don't have 100s of people benefiting indefinitely from one lvl 10 Blissey gym.2) You have a legitimate way to shave that's not against TOS. I'm not a big fan of this one, but it may be easier to implement. If you can beat an entire lvl 10 gym with a single team of 6 attackers (or less to make it more interesting) you are able to knock off the lowest defender and add yours to the mix. This method keeps the power creep, but also makes sense in team play where you are working as a team to make the strongest gym3) I know I said there were two, but as I was typing this it seems like the best might be a combination of the first two where you have to beat an entire lvl 10 gym with a single team of 6 pokemon. If you succeed, you can add your pokemon to the gym and the lowest defender goes into the background to still receive coins, but will weaken the gym's defenders.I look forward to your feedback :)Edit: How the heck do I get the bullet points to work in formatting?
