"Why did niantic force everyone to change the game's language? How can I switch it back to english?"

#PokemonGO: Basically, last update introduced brazilian portuguese as a language, and now my game is in portuguese, I seriously hate this change.I grew up playing Pokémon, ever since I was 6 years old playing Pokémon blue, I played every single version of pokémon, and it helped me learn english while I was growing up and made me want to practice it, I only ever played games in english language in my entire life and Im 500% used to Pokémon being in english. Why can I not have my phone language be portuguese and my game english?Konami lets me do this with Yu-Gi-Oh duel links, you can switch between languages as much as you want and between any language you'd like, why am I being forced to play the game in portuguese?
