"[Discussion] Just can't bring myself to throw away evolution items, but maybe here's an idea."
#PokemonGO: http://ift.tt/2r008B5 have all my evol item Pokémon dex entries. One of each. And clearly I have the mats for more if I wanted, but I don't. So what to do with the remaining items? I can't seem to just delete them.I played a little bit of Ingress long ago. I recall being able to drop keys for other teammates to find (plz correct me if I'm wrong). If I'm right, and that's coding that Niantic is already familiar with, then why not implement similar in Pokémon Go?I would love to make a fellow Valor teammate's day by leaving that elusive King's Rock for them to find. Lord knows I don't need 14 of them, and there are Trainers out there with 14 of something else they don't need. I live in a pokéstop rich city, I get evol items frequently enough to not fiend for them. I also vacation away from the city where this town has 5 stops, 2 gyms and not much else. How cool might it be to take these unneeded evol items and leave them in that small town some visit? How about a system, such as already exists in Ingress, where evol items, and even unwanted potions/revives, etc ... can be left at pokéstops or just dropped on the map for other teammates to stumble upon? I don't want the world map covered with these little care packages scattered all over the damn place, so how about just implement a timer where they rot at some conclusion of time if not picked up prior to expiration? And keep them invisible until an Avatar walks by, where they "pop" into being and give the Trainer the opportunity to view/pick up?I'm not suggesting Niantic implement a system that robs them of a revenue opportunity, but as evol items, potions and revives are not presently sold in stores, no harm and no foul. Let's give these items new life with another Trainer; vs discarding.Just a thought. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2sxK9MF
