"Idea for Gen 8 That I've had for a while"

Technically my friend and I came up with this back in grade school when Pokemon Diamond & Pearl came out but I still think its pretty relevant. For Gen 8, rather than having the trainer go to some new region, instead a Professor Cypress would recruit them from a Pokemon University of some kind to go travel back in time to capture prehistoric pokemon. They have some sort of time portal yadda yadda made from a synthesized "Roar of Time" or something like that. The trainer gets to pick from three exported prehistoric pokemon that look like or resemble dinosaurs. There'd be a fire type theropod, a water type mosasaur, and a grass type ceratopsid that'd evolve into cooler looking versions of the former. Then you'd be off on your way back 175 millions years to deal with dinosaur pokemon. The world of Pangeato (tentative name) would be inhabited by dinosaur and prehistoric pokemon from past gens (Relicanth, Omanyte, Kabutops, etc.), as well as other new pokemon that were endemic to the planet ages ago. You'd battle and fight a series of five or so legendaries which would make up the apex organism in a variety of biomes, while fighting some Team Rocket-esque bad guy group who seek to destroy time or at the very least poach prehistoric pokemon to sell on the black market in the present. The legendaries would be a sauropod and maybe a spinosaurid.Never got too far into the actual thought process beyond this but it always sounded like a solid idea for a new game. Switch things up. via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2sj6znE
