"Nanab Berry Effectiveness"

#PokemonGO: There have been several recent threads discussing the use (or uselessness) of Nanab Berries. My personal experience has been that they don’t do much, if anything, at all. So what exactly do they do? The in-game description is vague and searching for the actual effect yielded statements such as it slows the Pokemon down, “anchors” the Pokemon, or “calms” it. What appeared correct is that it reduces the number of attacks and motion of the Pokemon.I could not find the exact effect though, probably because I failed Searching 101. In any event, I did a quick test to verify how they work. If this is repetitive of more detailed research, my apologies, but it might be helpful to some readers.Test MethodEngage a Pokemon and record both the number of attacks and movement for 5 minutes, then feed it a Nanab Berry and repeat the recordings for an additional 5 minutes. Repeat the test for a second species with different attack and movement patterns.Houndour was used due to it being “aggressive “with attacks and Rattata for its relatively frequent jumps.ObservationsHoundour (456 CP)No Berry: 34 Attacks 19 Jumps (54 Total)Nanab Berry Applied: 10 Attacks 10 Jumps (20 Total)Rattata (CP380)No Berry: 27 Attacks 37 Jumps (64 Total)Nanab Berry Applied: 8 Attacks 19 Jumps (27 Total)DiscussionI could not identify a correlation between the totals, which is what I assumed would be found based on a set reduction of the total number of attacks and jumps based on slowing down the frequency of both. However, in both cases there was approximately a 70% reduction in the number of attacks and a 50% reduction in the number of jumps when the Nanab Berry was applied.Although a small sample size, it seems unlikely that those ratios would hold for two different species with different attack/movement periodicity. While a 70% reduction mirrors the 1.7X multiplier for Curve Throws and the 50% reduction mirrors the 1.5 multiplier for Razz Berries, why there would be two different modifiers applied to Attacks and movement seems odd.ConclusionNanab Berries provide a 70% reduction in the number of attacks and a 50% reduction in the number of jumps when applied. Can someone please link a more detailed study so I can see if these results are accurate or confirm them?
