"Who would you consider the Pikachu of each generation?"

In other words, the one Pokemon, other then a starter or legendary, that is most commonly identified with its generation and widely appears on Pokemon merchandise and in the anime.For Gen 2, I'd have to say Togepi. First Gen 2 Pokemon seen in the anime, Misty always had it outside of its Pokeball. It was the very first Gen 2 Pokemon I ever heard of outside of the starters and saw it all over merchandise when Gold and Silver came out.Gen 3, I really can't think of one.Gen 4, I'm going with Lucario. Of course, there's a movie about Lucario. Commonly featured after Gen 4, with Cameron's and Korrina's being the best examples. Lucario merchandise is also not uncommon.Gen 5, can't think of one. Maybe Emolga because it's so cute.Gen 6, I'll say Sylveon, because everyone loves Eeveelutions and pink things are pretty cute.Gen 7 hasn't been out long enough but when all is said and done I think it'll be Rockruff, in no small part because it's Kukui's pet. via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2rBzZfY
