"[Discussion] Preparing for the legendary may not be useful as we think"
#PokemonGO: Many players are now preparing an army of a specific counter 'mon for legendaries, spending a lot of stardust and TMs to make the perfect army. But since the beginning of the game and especially after the gym rework, we can see that Niantic is not making the game to be hardcore, complex or deep. The game is more like a very casual and friendly game for everyone and now is more about coop, if you have many players in your area you can defeat whatever you want, with any level and decent 'mons.Considering that the legendary will appear in a similar way to the current Raid system (because we know the tier 5 legendary egg in the data mine), many people will join to try to catch the legendary, and I believe a group of 20 people or much less will be able to defeat. The game now is more coop-to-win, and the difficulty is not increased according to the number of players in the raid (that's the point), so I believe a group of mid-level players will be able to defeat a legendary even without the most effective 'mons, after all Niantic has demonstrated a game for everyone and drastically reduced the gap between advanced players and casuals in the last update. So, if you live in an area with only few players, maybe is worth it to focus on a legendary counter team, if not, I feel it's going to be very disappointing how easy it could be with 10+ 15+ players.tl;dr: I'm considering to hold my valuable stardust and wait to see how hard is a legendary with many players battling at same time. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2sXz7nC
