"Pokémon that would be more popular if it debuted in another region."

I recently bought Pokémon Platinum and I'm doing a run through and I chose Piplup as my starter (I have run through Pearl with Chimchar and Turtwig before) and now I'm regretting it. I had no idea Scyther's were easy to catch, Steelix and Bronzor are easy to get and you get Lucario quickly so there is abundance of Steel type Pokémon that I can't really use if I want a balanced team because of Empoleon's steel typing. It got me thinking and Torterra and Infernape seem incredibly popular but Empoleon seems to be forgotten or not mentioned much but it's still a great Pokémon.So if Empoleon was in a different generation I think it'd be one of the most popular starters and I ask you which Pokémon would benefit from debuting later or earlier than it did? via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2tKZGcb
