"[Theme Talk] Rebalancing Pokemon types!"

This is an /r/pokemon themed discussion, where we ask unusual, generative questions for the community to answer and discuss. Look for new themed discussions on this subreddit every Wednesday!Topic: Rebalancing Pokemon types! Some Pokemon types have obvious weaknesses. For example, it makes sense that Fire is weak to Water! But despite this seemingly straightforward setup, some types are simply better than others (sorry Normal). In fact, certain types were once so much better that something had to change to keep things balanced. New types were introduced and weaknesses and resistences changed to buff up some types and nerf others. Overall, the deceptively simple balance of power in Pokemon has become a complicated mess of interwoven weaknesses and resistainces. If it was up to you to redo Pokemon weaknesses and resistainces completely, using any criteria and to any end you wanted, what would you change? Would you nerf or buff certain types again? Power up your favorites at the expense of the others? Finally end the travesty that is Ground's inexplicable resistence to Poison? It's all up to you!Share your responses to this discussion on Twitter: Tweet @pokereddit using the hashtag #pokemontalk! Finally, it's time for the weekly Sub Survey, where we pose a community poll question totally unrelated to the topic at hand! Last week, we asked the community to pick their favorite weather move, and Rain Dance is the winner! This week's Survey is: favorite Gen IV pokeball! Vote here. Results and a new Survey will be announced next week! via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2uGQhlp
