"[Discussion] Niantic, you are wasting a big opportunity with shiny Pokémons."

#PokemonGO: Hi everybody !As you probably already know, some Pokémons you can catch have a very small chance of being shiny, which means it has a different color and a starry pattern around it.At the moment, the only Pokémons that can be shiny are :Magikarp : a Pokémon that rarely spawns outside of a water biome.Pikachu : a Pokémon that rarely spawns outside of a Pikachu nest.Pichu : a Pokémon that you can't catch in the wild and that's only available in eggs. That's 3 Pokémons (5 if you consider Gyarados and Raichu through an evolution) out of the 240-ish already available in the game. As a person that's shiny hunting a lot in the main series games, I must say that I'm kinda frustrated with the way Niantic is releasing shinies.I feel that Niantic doesn't understand the whole point of a Pokémon being able to be a shiny. In the main series game, you would basically encounter a shiny if you were really lucky or if you grinded enough to force the odds if that makes sense. However, in Pokémon Go, you're basically praying everytime you click on a wild Magikarp or Pikachu, and the other common Pokémon aren't interesting if you're already full of stardust.Being able to find any shiny Pokémon would make the game way more interesting in my opinion. You would/could feel that grasp of hope and pressure everytime you click on a Pokémon, which would make the game even more addictive than it already is ! Plus, considering that the gym defenders are more diverse than ever, you wouldn't be afraid of proudly putting your shiny trophies inside a gym !Hopefully that is only the beginning and Niantic plan to release all the shinies at once someday, because I feel like they're wasting an easy opportunity (as shinies are already in the game code) to make the game far more interesting ! What do you guys think ? via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2vK868G
