"How the meaning of "Pokemon GO Event" has changed over the past few months; and the impact it has had on the game"

#PokemonGO: Remember that Halloween event that kick-started it all? It was a great success. People were out again like they were in Summer; the bonuses gave people an incentive to play.Unfortunately, we have not had an in-game event that wasn't Raid related for nearly 3 months now, and this is down to the birth of real-life GO events. Sadly, the in-game bonuses that we loved are being tied to exclusive locations, which is pretty damn disheartening when you walk out of the house to a Pidgey and 3 Natu.Niantic should simply bring these events back. Raids are getting boring now. A new one is released, we catch the Pokemon, and then we wait for the next one. It's a kick in the teeth to only be able to play the game with exciting encounters at these prestigious and costly events, heralded by the many YouTubers endorsed by Niantic. Did I mention that many of them brag consistently within their thumbnails about their findings, which are simply locked away from the majority of players?I'd be willing to bet that this is a selling tactic on Niantic's behalf; they manipulate their behaviour to make players jealous that they have access to these great spawns and this promotes ticket sales! This isn't the way Pokemon was meant to be. This isn't Rich Boy Winston on Route 3. You still clobbered his little Zigzagoon no matter how much money he had spent. It's about skill. It's about passion. You taught him that.Niantic are turning this game from the success it was in Summer into a money-grabbing armageddon. And there is nothing we can do about it.And it's down to events. They don't cater for the majority anymore. They cater for those with the resources to fly out; those with the passion to play the game with excitement. The excitement of finding a Larvitar. A Chansey. An Unown. If they appreciated us players who travel through our towns and cities everyday in search of Pokemon, fun and excitement, they would host global events again. Double candy. Double XP. Different Spawns. It made the game fun for us!I KNOW some are going to comment and say "You must be jealous." and "They deserve it; they spent money!", and my answer is simple. They do deserve a good time; because they spent. Does that mean that they are the only ones that deserve fun and enjoyment? At the end of the day, this is a free game. If it can't provide any entertainment, then what is it?TL;DR: It feels like the majority of us are being crapped on whilst the rest of the players are able to play a fun game because they spent money. Niantic manipulate this with YouTube influence. What are your thoughts on this issue? via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2h9vc1T
