"Problems with the Meltan Quest"

#PokemonGO: The "Let's GO, Meltan" quest was a great addition for players who either only play Pokémon GO, have not yet gotten the opportunity to play Pokémon Let's Go! Pikachu/Eevee, or those who would just like until opportunity to get a high stat Meltan. However, the quest is full of rather noticeable problems, scattered throughout each step, along with one major problem that will cause progression to come to a halt for a long time, and even longer depending on where you live.First, many of the quest steps revolve around what Pokémon spawed and appeared in raids during the Let's Go event, which took place during Nov 16th to Nov 27th. While some players were able to speed through the steps within these 11 days, the vast majority of players likely needed a lot of time to complete Step 2.Second, Grimer, Cubone, Scyther, Omanyte, Kabuto, and Aerodactyl can already be pretty rare to begin with, but coupled with seasonal weather affecting which Pokémon spawn in-game can make completing these tasks nigh impossible until some sort of Kanto event is restarted, or until the weather changes to match the spawn rates for certain Pokémon. As for Ditto, rates at which another Pokémon will be disguised as one are still extremely unpredictable, meaning that if you didn't complete the "Let's Go: Make an Excellent Throw" research task during the Let's Go event, then turn in the research when you reach Step 3, you're up to the mercy of a double RNG system.Third, Step 6 requires you to participate in 10 raids, which will last the average person 9-10 days to complete, assuming that you participate in one raid every day. The Let's Go event only lasted 11 days from when the quest went live, and the majority of people likely didn't reach Step 6 by the first day to be able to do the 10 raids before the end of the event, when the rest of the required Pokémon no longer spawn.Hopefully this situation will be improved since, as it stands, many players won't be completing the Let's GO, Meltan quest for a while, and even longer depending on where you live and what weather you'll be experiencing over the Winter season.EDIT: To clarify, I'm not saying that it's bad that the quest is challenging. A good challenge every now and then is welcomed. The problem is based on factors that are out of one's control, such as weather and the time parameters of the Let's Go event. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2DOE3j1
