"Pokémon Go on iPhone 8: Experience so far"

#PokemonGO: I’ve been playing Pokémon Go on iPhone 8 Plus all day. (Proof of life: http://ift.tt/2hkuons).So far, so great. A11 is a beast of a processor. iPhone 7 was already smooth and iPhone 8... I haven’t seen it get anywhere near processor load.True Tone, which matches color temp to ambient light, does take a minute or two to get used to. Once you do, though, there’s no going back. The LTE is theoretically better but I haven’t noticed much if any real world difference in load or server call speeds. The new glass back is absolutely easier to grip, though. Which I love. The camera system is also supposedly better tuned for ARKit but I seldom if ever use AR mode and couldn’t really tell the difference.Battery life is the same even though the battery is smaller. I live on low power mode.Happy to answer any questions if anyone has them, but essentially it’s like playing on iPhone 7, only faster and better looking.(I’ve used and X but it didn’t have Pokémon Go installed. Go figure :p). via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2hg2EUK
