"[discussion] If you loved prestiging, how would you bring back training?"
#PokemonGO: I miss the fun of picking a low-CP team that can defeat a gym. (Jynx vs. Dragonite always made me smile.) And I feel disappointed when I find a friendly gym that is full. I can feed it berries, but that's about it. I hope Niantic brings back some form of training. (Raids are, of course, a form of low-CP vs. high-CP combat, but they don't have the same feel as prestiging a whole gym.) For starters, it would be great to complete the Ace Trainer badge. For anyone who likes to think about development, how would you design this, and what rewards would you offer? (E.g., hitting a certain prestige target might reward a certain amount of XP, or a coin, or, in a perfect world, some sort of growth for the Pokemon itself.) There are a lot of possibilities, obviously. I'm interested in hearing what people come up with.[Edited to add: People are making all sorts of wonderful and creative suggestions suggestions. I'm enjoying the replies, and the discussion, very much. This is how good designs happen -- with real players talking about what they'd like to see added or improved. (Here's hoping some of the ideas filter up to Niantic.)] via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2g2czNh
