"EX Raid Pass distribution study in Águeda (Portugal)"

#PokemonGO: I've already posted this on the PokemonGo subreddit, but I think that in this subreddit it will be more useful.Due to the fact the we are a small community, I made a google spreadsheet, where we register all the raids made by the members of the community and in which day they successfully complete a Raid, across all the gym's in the city (10 gym's total). With this effort, we've received the 1st wave of EX Raid (October 1st) and now, the 3rd wave (November 11th).Thanks to this control, this was the information collected:The 1st was in the gym with the most trainers "registered" (30 trainers), to which were invited all the 30 trainers that completed a raid in that gym (Legendary or not), between September 3rd and September 25th. Levels: 40, 40, 39, 39, 39, 38, 37, 36, 36, 35, 35, 35, 34, 34, 33, 33, 32, 32, 32, 32, 31, 30, 30, 30, 29, 28, 28, 28, 26 and 25. Average Level: 33,2The 3rd wave will take place (again) in the gym with the most trainers "registered" (50, within one month), to which were invited 15 players from 2 specific raids.-1st Raid: took place in October 29th (Suicune), with 28 participants, divided in two lobbies. From this raid, were selected 10 out of 28 that participated (35,7%).-2nd Raid: took place November 1st (Raikou), with 14 participants in a unique lobby. From this raid, were selected 5 out of 14 that had participated (35,7%). Levels: 34, 34, 33, 32, 32, 32, 29, 28, 28, 28, 26, 23, 21, 21 and 20. Average level: 28,14 out of 15 invited, received their 2nd EX Raid Pass, in Águeda. 11 were invited for the 1st time. 6 of those 15 players, only made one of these 2 specific raids within a month. All the players above 34 that contributed in those 2 selected raids (7 players), that are also the most active, were left out (inclusive me [Lvl 40], that was the only one who participated in the both of them, 10/29 and 11/1).Conclusions from this study:The 1st wave served to find out how many players, with a raid completed in certain gym, in a period of time relatively expense, would be present in the EX Raid, even though a part of them didn't make another raid in that specific gym for almost a month. The 3rd wave served to find out how many players (from a small group, with lower levels), with a raid completed in that gym recentely (4 days before the invitation dropped), will be present in the EX Raid and if they will be able to conclude that raid with success (due to the low levels). Note: 35,7% were the percentage of players chosen from the both raids to receive the EX Raid Pass.Personal observation: In my modest opinion, I think that both Field Tests had the objective of testing the viability of doing EX Raids, in locations with a limited number of players. And the concrete objective of both of them were to find out if is more viable to choose between a big group of players that have made a Raid in a gym in a long period of time, or in a short period of time with raids completed recently by a small number of players. The 1st test was less selective and rigorous than the 3rd, due to the requirements.Note: The players that use to spend money in the game were left out, in the 3rd Wave. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2ziz7if
