"On This Day 20 Years Ago The "Porygon Episode" Aired in Japan"

This was the infamous episode that gave "seven hundred Japanese people" epileptic seizures due to a bright, flashing scene within the episode. This led Pokemon to cancel the anime for over 4 months and to rethink their animation processes. And although this is known as the "Porygon Episode" it is important to know that it was Ash's Pikachu's actions that lead to the seizures. Yet the Porygon chain has suffered the consequences of never being featured in an anime episode or a movie since the incident, while Pikachu remains the poster boy for the franchise. Now that the event is far in the past, let's show the Porygons some much needed love :-) via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2yKbxsB
