"What Is a Pokemon You Want to Like... but You Just Can't?"

There are Pokemon you love, Pokemon you hate... and then there are these; the most tragic kind of Pokemon. Not the ones that you hate... but the ones that disappointed you. This is what I want to talk about: that one Pokemon that you desperately try to love... but it just falls short in some way.To me, that Pokemon has to be Samurott, the final evolution of my very first starter Pokemon. Man, where to start with this thing...Strangely enough, I actually like its design... and that's about the best thing I can say about it.Its stat distribution is so odd. A Special Attacker that mostly learns Physical moves? ... Yay! That's totally not impractical at all.Oh, and its movepool? DEAR AGONY. JUST LET GO OF MENot even its hidden ability is good. Something that's supposedly a Physical Attacker should get something like, I don't know, Tough Claws. What does it get? Shell Armor. Which is a defensive ability. What the hell is this thing even trying to be!?That's why I ultimately can't bring myself to love Samurott. I want to love it so badly; it was the final form of my first (and maybe even favorite) Starter Pokemon, but everything is just working against it.
