"In-depth Analysis Rayquaza Breakpoints"
#PokemonGO: Since I've caught a 96% IV Rayquaza on the first day and I love that beast and want to use it against itself, I have to decide whether to power it up or not. 96% IV are awesome, however, I got "unlucky" and got the 13/15/15 version of it. The advantage is that Rayquaza lacks bulk and with 15 defense and 15 stamina I'm not at a disadvantage when it comes to bulk breakpoints.Let's see against which raid boss Rayquaza shines and what the necessary damage breakpoints for Dragon Tail are.Note: I'll only cover regular weather breakpoints. Should there be any significant breakpoints in windy weather I'll mention them!All statements regarding the number of pick are considering level 40 attackers according to pokebattler.com !Dragon typesLatios and Latias will become bosses in the future and their Dragon/Psychic typing allows Rayquaza to become the number one pick in any weather, but foggy against Latias (Gengar with its infamous Shadow Claw moveset being ahead a few seconds).LatiasBreakpointDamage IncreaseLevel 20, IV = 1410->11 (+10.00%)Level 20.5, IV = 1010->11 (+10.00%)Level 24, IV = 1511->12 (+9.09%)Level 24.5, IV = 1211->12 (+9.09%)Level 25, IV = 1011->12 (+9.09%)Level 28.5, IV = 1512->13 (+8.33%)Level 29, IV = 1212->13 (+8.33%)Level 29.5, IV = 1012->13 (+8.33%)Level 37, IV = 1513->14 (+7.69%)Level 37.5, IV = 1413->14 (+7.69%)Level 38, IV = 1313->14 (+7.69%)Level 38.5, IV = 1213->14 (+7.69%)Level 39, IV = 1013->14 (+7.69%)The last breakpoint in windy weather is reached at level 34 and 10 attack IV causing a damage increase of 6.66% (15->16).LatiosBreakpointDamage IncreaseLevel 21, IV = 1512->13 (+8.33%)Level 21.5, IV = 1212->13 (+8.33%)Level 22, IV = 1012->13 (+8.33%)Level 25, IV = 1313->14 (+7.69%)Level 25.5, IV = 1013->14 (+7.69%)Level 29, IV = 1314->15 (+7.14%)Level 29.5, IV = 1014->15 (+7.14%)Level 35.5, IV = 1515->16 (+6.66%)Level 36, IV = 1415->16 (+6.66%)Level 36.5, IV = 1315->16 (+6.66%)Level 37, IV = 1215->16 (+6.66%)Level 37.5, IV = 1115->16 (+6.66%)Level 38, IV = 1015->16 (+6.66%)The last breakpoint in windy weather is hit at level 38 with an attack stat of 10 atk IV and results in an increase of 5.55% (18->19).Fire / Flying typesThanks to Ancient Power Rayquaza is a top tier counter against fire-flying types. They are currently a thing of the past, but Ho-Oh and Moltres might have their comeback at some point. It's a top 5 pick against Ho-Oh and even your best option against Extrasensory/Solar Beam (outclassing Kyogre and Raikou in both damage output and survivability!) and 2nd against Steel Wing/Solar Beam (Kyogre has higher DPS but less survivability - Dragon/Flying typing rocks defensively). Against Moltres Rayquaza ranks 4th to 7th regarding to Moltres' moveset. However, it cannot outclass a level 30 Golem, so I won't go into breakpoints.Ho-OhBreakpointDamage IncreaseLevel 20, IV = 147->8 (+14.28%)Level 20.5, IV = 107->8 (+14.28%)Level 26, IV = 148->9 (+12.50%)Level 26.5, IV = 128->9 (+12.50%)Level 27, IV = 108->9 (+12.50%)Level 35.5, IV = 159->10 (+11.11%)Level 36, IV = 149->10 (+11.11%)Level 36.5, IV = 139->10 (+11.11%)Level 37, IV = 129->10 (+11.11%)Level 37.5, IV = 119->10 (+11.11%)Level 38, IV = 109->10 (+11.11%)In windy weather the last breakpoint is met at level 40 and 11 attack IV.The Weather TrioThey are just gone, but against Hydropump Kyogre Rayquaza is a top 5 pick and a top 2 pick in windy weather. And against Groudon Rayquaza is a top 6 pick against any moveset and the best pick in windy weather.Kyogre & GroudonBreakpointDamage IncreaseLevel 22, IV = 158->9 (+12.50%)Level 22.5, IV = 118->9 (+12.50%)Level 23, IV = 108->9 (+12.50%)Level 28, IV = 149->10 (+11.11%)Level 28.5, IV = 119->10 (+11.11%)Level 29, IV = 109->10 (+11.11%)Level 38.5, IV = 1510->11 (+10.00%)Level 39, IV = 1410->11 (+10.00%)Level 39.5, IV = 1310->11 (+10.00%)Level 40, IV = 1210->11 (+10.00%)The breakpoints in windy weather are at the same level, but for an increase of 8.33% (12->13) at the last breakpoint.Against itself Rayquaza is the 2nd pick after Jynx and the 1st in windy weather against Non-Outrage movesets.RayquazaBreakpointDamage IncreaseLevel 22, IV = 1316->17 (+6.25%)Level 22.5, IV = 1016->17 (+6.25%)Level 24.5, IV = 1517->18 (+5.88%)Level 25, IV = 1217->18 (+5.88%)Level 25.5, IV = 1017->18 (+5.88%)Level 27.5, IV = 1518->19 (+5.55%)Level 28, IV = 1218->19 (+5.55%)Level 28.5, IV = 1018->19 (+5.55%)Level 31, IV = 1519->20 (+5.26%)Level 31.5, IV = 1419->20 (+5.26%)Level 32, IV = 1319->20 (+5.26%)Level 32.5, IV = 1219->20 (+5.26%)Level 33, IV = 1019->20 (+5.26%)Level 37.5, IV = 1520->21 (+5.00%)Level 38, IV = 1420->21 (+5.00%)Level 38.5, IV = 1320->21 (+5.00%)Level 39, IV = 1120->21 (+5.00%)Level 39.5, IV = 1020->21 (+5.00%)Looking at weather boosted breakpoints, the breakpoints are even reached earlier (the last breakpoint is met at level 37.5 with 15 attack IV).MewtwoRayquaza is a top 6 pick against Focusblast and really shines in windy weather.BreakpointDamage IncreaseLevel 23, IV = 1211->12 (+9.09%)Level 23.5, IV = 1011->12 (+9.09%)Level 27, IV = 1512->13 (+8.33%)Level 27.5, IV = 1312->13 (+8.33%)Level 28, IV = 1012->13 (+8.33%Level 33.5, IV = 1513->14 (+7.69%)Level 34, IV = 1413->14 (+7.69%)Level 34.5, IV = 1313->14 (+7.69%)Level 35, IV = 1213->14 (+7.69%)Level 35.5, IV = 1113->14 (+7.69%)Level 36, IV = 1013->14 (+7.69%)In windy weather the final breakpoint is reached at level 39 with an attack IV of 10 (6.25%, 16->17).TL;DR: Rayquaza is totally worth powering up even with an attack stat below 15. Don't forget with a base attack stat of 284 it's a beast even without considering IV. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2CdvWrY
