"So it turns out the female trainer from Sun and Moon isn't named Moon, but instead...Selene! (+ what Sun's name might actually be)"

I got this email a while back promoting a Figma figure of her, and I noticed they referred to the character as "Selene" rather than "Moon":http://ift.tt/2BoCTcZ course, Moon is what we've grown with (alongside Sun considering that's what he was named in the demo), but this pretty much officially confirms that they have real names after all, and that their parents didn't just look at the sky and go "oh yeah i'll name you after this big-ass rock in space."For those who aren't aware, Selene is the name of the greek goddess of the moon. So if we were to follow this simple logic, then Sun's name would actually be Helios. ...which is a pretty gnarly name.I find it very strange how, out of all the ways this would be figured out (pun entirely intended), it's through an obscure promotion for a Figma figurine. But what can you do? via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2BmIAIb
