"Need help/advice for my son: phone, multi-accounts"

#PokemonGO: Hi all. Hope this is a good place to ask about this. A year ago I bought my little son a Blu phone from Amazon for like $50 just so he could tether and play Pokémon Go with me. Most recent update can’t install on his phone....so 2 questions:What’s the cheapest decent phone to buy now that looks like it will be usable for tethered Go playing? Any advice or suggestions?I’ve heard so many conflicting reports on this: is there a risk to letting him log in on my phone to play when I am not?
