"Way the inappropriate text could be handled"

#PokemonGO: Players are finding more and more words and word combinations they can't use when nicknaming Pokémon, many of which are slang words nobody uses, and some of which are actually already parts of Pokémon names, like Clefairy. The way an inappropriate text filter could be handled is that it should filter the text locally upon receiving. Essentially, I would be able to name my buddy something inappropriate, but a friend of mine or a trade partner with the language filter on (toggleable in the Settings) would only see the Pokémon's default name. This would keep the filter in place, supervised by concerned parents - probably through Niantic Kids, I'd assume -, while the rest of us can still name our double Water Omastar "Wat/Wat", and stuff like that. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2nRyozG
