"Speculating on future Special Research"

#PokemonGO: Given the four they have released so far, I think we can reasonably conclude two things. Jirachi will be released as a Special Research Mythical reward, and there will be a Christmas-themed Special Research. With that said, what can we expect to show up as the quests? For getting JirachiGiven what they did for Mew and Celebi, I think we can expect Niantic to place a focus on Gen 3 Pokemon, but which ones? Perhaps one of the most stand-out of them is the Wurmple branch evolutions. I expect one stage to involve getting Dustox and Beautifly.Gen 3 also have two 400 candy requirement Pokemon, Altaria and Wailord. There is likely to be a task that asks you to evolve one or both.Jirachi is also based on a Shooting Star based on its whole granting wishes thing, so perhaps Willow will ask us to catch Lunatone and Solrock? There might also be quests focused on catching both Psychic and Steel type Pokemon in general given Jirachi's typing. For the Christmas-themed researchWell, if they do do one, catching Ice-types is almost certainly a given, and could overall be a good time to release Gen 4 Ice-types.And since it's the season of giving, there's probably going to be a stage where you have to gift, say, 10 gifts to friends. They might also make us catch Jynx, Delibird and Stantler at some point since those are the most Christmas-sy Pokemon I could think of.Well, that's what I think they might do for future Special Research. Anyone likes my idea? Dislikes? Why or why not? via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2FJksn5
