"TMs are gambling. Here is how they should work."

#PokemonGO: HOW TM'S WORK RIGHT NOW: You use a pass to do a raid. The more difficult the raid, the more chance to get a TM. So you are probably trying to do the most highest tier raids you can possibly do, which can push you to losing the pass you bought or got. Then, you recieve the items for winning the raid. Remind yourself of all the times you raided for the chance of a good item dropping (charged tm anyone?) And didnt care much about whichever pokemon you had a chance to catch. Now, you recieved your items. There is a chance you got a fast tm, a chance you got a charged, a chance you got nothing. Ok... Sounds like gambling maybe, but not quite because you still get the guaranteed xp + chance of catching the pokemon. The only thing you were promissed really.Oh, so you got a TM you wanted? Great! Use it on your pokemon! Just be reminded that you may get or not the move you want, meaning for a single pokemon you could need one, or seven TMs. Definitely not a game of chance! Also, you should check third party apps to see what are the possible movesets. Or you can do it the way the game seems to want you to do it, just waste as many as you want until you get an attack with a big number besides it, even if you have no way of knowing if there is any better move!Be also reminded, if your pokemon has a legacy move, you are not allowed to go back to it if you ever decide to roll another move, totally fair!. You also can't go back to a moveset you owned already, unless you want to go through the fun moveset roulette again! (Oh, you will need more TM tickets please)I dont mind them being a rare item. I understand I'm not guaranteed one every raid. But if i get one, why do i feel like i got a lottery ticket, and not an actual item?HOW TMS SHOULD WORK:First your pokemon should have a clear list of all available moves. You should be reminded certain moves have a STAB bonus. This game doenst tell you that, just assumes you know how pokemon works. Then, a TM should give you a random move form the moveset that tm is for. Both the move you got, and the one you had before, should now be permanently unlocked, to switch between as much as you like. Your pokemon learnt a new move after all, he didnt get brainwashed. Furthermore, once this 2 moves are unlocked, you should NEVER be able to recieve the same move from another tm, ever again. Just the ones you have yet to unlock. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2P5eIDr
