"How do you deal with hostile anti-Pokemon Go people when out playing?"

#PokemonGO: Today my husband, son and I decided to meet up with a good friend of ours to beat a Heatran raid at noon. My son is 7 and obsessed with Pokemon. He has his own phone and usually plays with us. On this day he forgot to charge it but was still very happy to talk stats and hang out.We were all having a good time and being discreet in the park until we noticed that there was a lady watching us from her window in a nearby house. Right when the raid started, she started screaming at us about how she was going to call the cops on us and things like that. Of course we already started the raid so we figured we'd just try to finish it up quickly as to not make a scene but this person decided it was their job to go on about how horrible of parents we are and how we were abusing him for playing Pokemon around him among other awful and also creepy things. We beat the raid and left as quickly as we could without trying to escalate things more (though my husband and our friend did try to defend us). My son then bawled his eyes out the rest of the walk back home and I didn't even know how to explain to him about people who are like that. He loves Pokemon, loves us, and up until now had never seen a grown up that was just so mean when all we were doing was playing a game.Anyone else have some pretty rotten experiences with non POGO players and how did you handle it? We tried our best to handle it without things getting too bad but I'm not even sure what you could try to say to someone like that or if this kind of thing is just a lost cause? How do you even respond to someone who threatens to call the police on you?Any advice or personal experience is much appreciated. I've ran into some aggressive people in the past through Pokemon but never someone that would go that far.TLDR; Did a heatran raid in the park while a lady in a nearby house watched us through her window, threatened to call the police and screamed horrible/creepy things about us being bad parents for playing Pokemon... Making my 7yr old cry. via /r/pokemongo http://bit.ly/2CRt47F
