"Idea for Aegislash in Pokemon SW/SH"

After Sun/Moon's lack of Solrock and Lunatone, people are saying that the Honedge line will get the same treatment in the upcoming games.However I disagree, I think the Honedge line will have a presence in this game.The first 2 forms of the honedge line are swords, and while fitting for Pokemon Sword, Pokemon Shield will be left out. Then an idea came to my head - they should make a branch evolution for Aegislash - another branch where the first two evos will be shields instead of swords.It'll look like this.It won't be different forms for honedge and doublade, they will be completely new pokemon because the names won't fit shields.The base form could look like a normal round shield with one eye. Then it'll evolve into a spiked round shield with 2 eyes. This is based on how Aegislash's shield is a round shield with what looks like 3 eyes.Just like how Aegislash switches its offensive stats with its defensive stats when it changes form, the shield branch will have the same stat totals as Honedge and Doublade but with its defenses being the dominant stats.While Honedge and Doublade learn moves that are based on sword attacks (swords dance, aerial ace, slash, sacred sword), the shield branch will learn shield oriented moves such as iron defence, protect, crafty shield, spiky shield, and of course, king's shield. Its attacking moves can be akin to doing a shield bash - moves such as tackle, iron head, head smash, and double edge.I'm not so sure about what the ability can be. Honedge and Doublade has No Guard, which makes every move have 100% accuracy. Maybe the shield branch can have a new ability that lets it use protective moves (like protect and kings shield) two times in a row without fail, where using it a third time will be the 50% failure and so on.With all of the rumors that Kalos is potentially linked to the Galar region, Aegislash is highly likely to return. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/2Ts1iaW
