"Ditto CP values are totally random"

#PokemonGO: I just caught a Ditto with 578 CP disguised as a Gulpin with 741 CP in partly cloudy weather, so it wasn't boosted. That itself wouldn't be remarkable, but I knew this was very close to the maximum CP of a wild Gulpin under these conditions, so I took a closer look:100% level 30 Gulpin has 742 CP.98% 15/15/14 and 98% 15/14/15 have 740 and 739 CP respectively.It's impossible for a wild Gulpin to have 741 CP without a weather boost!By the way, the Ditto has 578 CP, which is 10/7/10 on level 27.This is why we can now assume that the CP values are randomly assigned to the Pokémon Ditto disguises itself as and are totally unrelated to the level and IV of the Ditto you'll eventually catch! via /r/TheSilphRoad http://bit.ly/2V1lQbH
