In my opinion, mythical Pokémon and some event Pokémon shouldn’t be distributed via time limited in store events anymore. This method may have been part of the early Pokémon phenomenon in the late 1990s/ early 2000s, but it has been 20 years since then.Instead of making games time limited and in store, why can’t they be in game online events like Splatoon? Imagine that every occasional weekend there is an online event like Splatfest in which players simply have to participate get rewards. The more you play the more rewards you get. You could get a mythical just for participating at home or just for registering before hand. You could also get more rewards depending on how much you play. For example, you could get a Free Shiny if you rank up all the way in the event (just like Splatfest).I think this method not only make events more accessible but also more rewarding. via /r/pokemon http://bit.ly/2WAFqbr
