"Why they gave Lucy a Psyduck"

Anyone that grew up in a large city knows how sketchy things can get - especially at night. People often carry self defense weapons, such as pepper spray. Lucy, being an independent young woman in a large city probably knows to be vigilant, especially given her detective work.As seen in the movie, Psyduck unleashes an extremely powerful attack when it's distressed. In the scene where they're running from Greninja, Lucy is in eminent danger, which resulted in Psyduck unleashing a really powerful attack, which ends up saving her.I believe Psyduck is a Pokemon used for self-defense in-universe. It's the perfect self-defense weapon - cute and unassuming, but is almost unstoppable when its owner is in danger via /r/pokemon http://bit.ly/2VsDcOW
