"Potential Significance of Shiny Oddish at New Taipei City Safari Zone (Updated List)"

#PokemonGO: Following the recent tradition of 2018's, and most recently, last April's Safari Zones, the upcoming Safari Zone in New Taipei City, Taiwan will likely see the release of shiny Oddish. The significance of the shiny is often tied to some geographic or characteristic feature of the city/region hosting the Safari Zone. The focus of October's Safari Zone, is to:maintain the city’s biodiversity and natural scenery by transforming forgotten areas into beautiful new parksIt's not a surprise that Oddish, the Weed Pokemon, was selected to embody this theme as it eventually evolves into Vileplume and Bellossom, both of which are Flower Pokemon. While doing my initial research, I was never even aware that New Taipei City was just upgraded to a municipality in 2010, consisting of 29 individual districts. The Safari Zone, which is being hosted in conjunction with the New Taipei City government, is a perfect way to showcase how much work the government as put into revitalizing the area.To review the previous Safari Zones and their shines:Shiny Roselia was introduced in Dortmund, Germany. This was in reference to the beautiful rose garden located within Westfalenpark.Shiny Wingull was introduced in Yokosuka, Japan. This was in reference to Yokosuka's Navy Curry mascot, Sucurry.Shiny Pinsir was introduced in Tainan, Taiwan. This was possibly in reference to the Formosan Giant Stag Beetle which is considered one of the more valuable protected animal species in Taiwan.Not officially a Safari Zone event, but shiny Sandshrew was released in Tottori, Japan as part of an exclusive event. This was in direct reference to the Tottori Sand Dunes, which hosted the Sandshrew Festival in partnership with The Pokemon Company.Shiny Psyduck was introduced in Porto Alegre, Brazil. This was in reference to the Lagoa dos Patos (Lagoon of the Ducks), which is not only the largest lagoon in Brazil but also the largest barrier-lagoon in South America.Shiny Shuckle and Lapras were introduced in Sentosa, Singapore. This was likely in reference to its large turtle hatchery, aimed at conservation and research of two critically endangered species native to the area - the Hawksbill Turtle and the Green Sea Turtle.Shiny Yanma is expected to be introduced in Montreal, Canada. This is likely in reference to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, home of the F1 Canadian Grand Prix.
