"Egg breeder NPC"

#PokemonGO: I had this idea a very long time ago, but only recently started following this sub. I'm sorry if something similar has ever been posted but I recently remembered. This idea has to deal with regional eggs, but please read the whole thing before you decide to down vote or say "get some friends" (I thought of this literally less than a month after the games release so well before trading was a thing). On with the idea.I think it would be cool if they added an egg breeder NPC into the game similar to rocket stops. The don't have to move every 30 minutes, in fact they can stay at the same stop for 24 hours as with this idea you can only interact with them once a day anyway. So what do they do?When you interact with them you will be given the choice to appraise one of your eggs. For this example let's just say you pick a 10k egg and Dratini, Larvitar, and Gible are common, rare, and very rare respectively. The egg breeder would say something like...Common: "I've seen plenty of eggs like this one in my life."Rare: "oh? That's an interesting egg you have there."Very rare: "wow! I've never seen anything like it!"Those might be a bit too gamey and break the immersion but you get the idea. After this the egg breeder will ask another thing."Say...how's about a trade? That there egg for one of mine? (Yes/no)"At this point the player has a clue to what's inside the egg, so if they cross check with possible rarity tiers (I'm assuming that's still a thing from TSR ages ago), they can see if they possibly want it. In my example above I would only want it if it was very rare because of Gible. So picking no simple ends the interaction and that's it. You can only appraise one egg a day. Saying yes...The breeder gives you 3 options. Random eggs or 1 of each distance type either one works. Again after looking at what hatches from each egg you decide on one of them. Then he might, let's say some low chance like 5%, have the following dialog. "That egg...the trainer who gave it to me seems to be well traveled" or something, essentially tipping you off that it's an egg from another region. So you go about hatching it and it could hatch a random regional. If you make the breeder relatively rare, as well as the chance to get the egg that could have a regional, plus the chance to actually hatch it and it not be anything else, all those things combined seems like it's rare enough to be a valid way to get them especially for rural players.I understand now we have trading and regionals coming to 7km eggs. Again, this idea was well before trading was ever a thing, and I'm from the dead center of America so even if trading was a thing I wasn't likely to get any international visitors.Either way, that's the idea, thanks for reading. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2PQCV5U
