"Gym was moved by editing location in Ingress. Nobody can fight the pokémon inside (every attempt at battle → Error 29). What can we do?"

#PokemonGO: We have a kinda popular gym in city center which was moved yesterday when Ingress/Wayfarer data synced with PoGO. Since then nobody can battle it. Every attempt ends after "GO" vanishes and Error 29 is displayed.Now… the distance from original location to new one is around 100 meters which is more than 80 meter leash for battling.Here’s my theory: the gym still thinks it’s in the old location. So when a player tries to battle it, it basically triggers a default error for when you are too far away from it. Error 29.And I wonder a) if any of you ever had a situation like this, and b) do you think it would work if someone started the battle, minimized the app, sprinted to the original location (inside "leash" area) and opened the app again?
