"Abundance of raids"

#PokemonGO: From my house i can see ten gyms. Last weekend, with hooh and Lugia, on average there were between 1 and 2 raids at any given time. Since that event ended there seems to be a change in raid frequency as during the past 35 hours there have been at least three raids at any time, sometimes even seven or eight. Are more people seeing this? Yes i understand raid RNG hence waiting 24 hours before posting.
