"Team Rocket battle unknown error code"

#PokemonGO: So it happened too soon that I didn't get a chance to grab screen shots. I had team rocket radar and there was already team rocket Balloon on me. I saw ultra unlock task about defeat 2 team rocket grunts. To avoid fight with team rocket leader and complete this task I decided to go to my items and delete the radar. I did that and clicked on team rocket Balloon. I was surprised that team rocket leader still popped up but all of sudden it disappeared and Balloon flew.
