"Why does Niantic always nerf the egg drop rate for events? Its a paid mechanic anyways."

#PokemonGO: During non event times i seem to get eggs almost every gift I open. During egg events I will max my daily limit and only get an inventory and a half. It feels like it goes from an 85% drop rate to a 30%.But why? Incubators cost money, wouldn't Niantic want us to spend money on them by giving us the same amount of eggs or more?
