"“It looks like my cousin Larry”"

I rewatching Pokémon: Advanced season 6 and I’m watching episode 313 when I took notice in something that Meowth says around the 17 minute mark.Team Rocket is going against a Shiftry when they go, “It’s scary.” “It’s hairy.” Then Meowth chimes in with “It looks like my cousin Larry.”I thought it was weird because that means that Meowth has a Shiftry as a cousin because surely there is no very hairy Meowths. But then I thought about it, Galarian Meowth and Perrserker are apart of the Meowth line and are as hairy as a Shiftry.Does that mean that Meowth from Team Rocket is related to a Galarian Meowth or Perrserker?
